Childhood Immunisation clinics are held every Tuesday morning at our Brant Road site and every Friday morning at our Springcliffe site.  For further information about childhood immunisations please visit www.nhs.uk/vaccinations. This will provide you with up-to-date guidance on childhood immunisation schedules, including the new MenB vaccine.

When you first discover that you are pregnant, please contact the surgery. The receptionist will pass your details on to the midwife who will contact you to book an appointment. Appointments with the midwife are held at our Brant Road site on a Tuesday afternoon and all day on a Wednesday.

Routine and travel vaccinations for all ages are available during surgery times by appointment with our nurses.

The practice nurses give advice and administer the vaccinations you will need. Please call at the surgery for a travel plan questionnaire or complete the online form situated within patient forms. Please complete and return this at least 8 weeks before departure and then the nurse will contact you to inform you of any vaccinations required. If you are going to an exotic destination or doing unusual activities on your holiday (e.g. mountain climbing) you may need to see the nurse up to 6 months prior to your holiday.

If you have asthma or COPD, please book a double appointment with Nurse Rachel for an annual review.

A diabetic clinic is held regularly and run by Nurse Stella. You will be invited by letter to book for your diabetic reviews.

A minor surgery service is available. Please make an appointment to see your Doctor to discuss a referral.

From September every year, we offer free ‘flu and pneumonia vaccinations to all patients over 65 and those in certain high risk categories eg patients with heart or respiratory disease. Please ask for details.

Cancer of the cervix can be prevented and all female patients between the ages of 25 and 50 are advised to have regular smear tests every 3 years, female patients between 50 and 65 are advised to have smear tests every 5 years. Appointments are offered during nurses’ clinic times most weekdays.
